This is a classic blend of the Minervois; Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre. The three varieties complement each other to produce this elegant wine. Cool fermented with subtle oak ageing. Hints of violet and coconut aromas. Cranberry and cassis flavours, and a light toasty finish. where to buy

100% Syrah selected from the best parcels of vines. Hand-picked then fermented and matured in oak barrels. An intense wine, inky black in colour with bramble and black cherry fruit flavours, a light vanilla oak with a long finish.

Winemakers selection: The ‘best of the best’ from our vineyards.

Hand picked, berry selection, vinification with no expense spared. Each year the wine selected for the QED may change - in 2005 was a particularly good year for Mourvèdre.

Matured for 18 months in French Oak. Bottled without filtration to preserve the aromas of violet and mulberry, coffee and garrigue.

Awards 2005: 'Best in Class' and Silver, International Wine and Spirit Competition 2008.
