Award winning wines from Château La Bouscade

Chateau La Bouscade is in the Minervois region of the Languedoc-Roussillon, France. International Winemaker, David Cowderoy, is dedicated to producing some of the finest wines of the area. The best cultivation practices in the vineyards produce grapes of premium quality. The state of the art winery is suited to the production of hand-crafted wines and premium oak barrels allow the subtle development of flavours. The wines are for those who like to explore wines with the diversity and complexity that the Old World can, at its best, produce.

In just three years the wines of Chateau La Bouscade have won 30 International Awards and are available in 12 different countries, including 4 US states.

"My aim is not to compromise on quality in any way. I am passionate about letting the fruit express itself to produce wines with individuality and character."     Winemaker,  David Cowderoy

Our 30th!

With two recent 'Best in Class' and silver awards at the International Wine and Spirit Competition - probably the biggest and most respected competition in the world, the wines have now won a total of 30 International Awards. Its hard work (harder than most wine drinkers think!) and its great to have this endorsed by professional tasters at International competitions. List of awards

The Prestigious QED is Released

This is our top of the range Winemakers selection: The ‘best of the best’ from our vineyards.

Hand picked, berry selection, vinification with no expense spared. Each year the wine selected for the QED may change - in 2005 was a particularly good year for Mourvèdre.

Matured for 18 months in French Oak. Bottled without filtration to preserve the flavours of violet and mulberry, coffee and garrigue.

Awards 2005: 'Best in Class' and Silver, International Wine and Spirit Competition 2008.

Now available in the UK, but not many cases made - for reservations contact sales@labouscade.com

Screw Caps

In a bold move, but after much research and consideration, all the Chateau La Bouscade wines will now be bottled with a Screw Cap Closure.   Chateau La Bouscade is one of the first wineries in the Languedoc to put all production, including premium red wines into screw cap.

David, Winemaker, was invited to be part of a discussion panel on Screw Cap Closures at Wine for Asia in Singapore (October 2007) as well as present a paper on 'Quality in Wine'.

Chateau La Bouscade will also be selecting lighter weight bottles as part of our move towards more environmentally responsible winemaking. Other plans to be revealed...
